Canals, canals, canals…One thing I won’t forget from Amsterdam. The crossing of the water trough the city, a big number of bridges filling up the middle of the streets.
Similarly to Amsterdam, this city gains life at night, however for different reasons. The lantern figures light up, boats fill the water with light. And the grey of the day drowns in a sea of red, orange, yellow. All to please thirsty Chinese tourist, from the fancy coffee shops to crappy souvenir shops.
Aside from walking the streets, has nothing much to see really, but because it reminded me so much, I walked, walked, enjoyed. Before leaving to Beijing I wanted moments of rest, to write, and prepare myself for the US.
